A transportation service providing rides between Guelph and Waterloo Region is now offering a couple of new options.

According to a news release posted on its website, Wroute will be offering rides to the Burlington and Hamilton area, starting Monday.

The release states the service will go to the University of Guelph, Waterloo Region International Airport, the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, the Aldershot GO station and the Mapleview Shopping Centre in Burlington.

“New service offerings between Kitchener, Guelph, and Burlington are timed to provide connections to GO, Via, and Amtrak train services at Aldershot GO, as well as local bus connections,” the release states, adding the rides will cost between $10 and $32, depending on the destination, taxes included.

Wroute first started in late September, offering high-frequency, non-stop trips between the transit hub at Fairview Park mall in Kitchener and Guelph Central Station.

Wroute uses all-electric vehicles, with 10 Tesla SUVs running about 1,000 departures every week.
